We finally saw the beach!!! Vimos la playa!!!!

We - Chris, Lisa, Gray and myself - left Duverge at 5:30am we were all excited to get to our holiday, not to mention it was going to be at least 6 hour drive! As we drove north the scenery was amazing. As we came over this hill instead of seeing the beautiful mountains we saw a gigantic Presidente Beer sign!!!
We arrived to the resort around 1:30pm...only having to take a few bathroom breaks along the way LOL

Once settled into our rooms we went to the buffet, we were all hungry.
Then it was time for some pool time, and Gralyn's first cervesa!

Does he look happy?!

After some fun in the pool, it was time for dinner. We were all pretty tired because of the early morning.

Tuesday morning Chris and Lisa had to go see the doctor so we went down and saved us beds on the beach! Yes they are queen size beds hanging on cable wire so its a grown up swing! It was awesome!! We could see and hear the ocean!
And when the sun was to strong you could close the curtains on the roof and around the sides and be in the shade still looking at the ocean in front of you....This beach is called the V.I.P Beach...we can totally see why!

Or there is a swing for two...how romantic!

Chris and Lisa returned from the doctor and told us all about him. His name is Dr.Frank Rogers, he is an Orthopedic Surgeon and used to be in the French army as a surgeon, and later we found out he was the doctor (8 years in a row) for the Russian Olympic team and is a private doctor to very important people worldwide! Anyways he specializes in correcting your back, hips, and generally wherever your bones and muscles are not in the right spots.
So, after much thought Gralyn decided to go with Chris and Lisa when they went back to see him. Turns out Gralyn had 13 out of 24 vertebrae out of alignment! Lets just say after 3 visits and some discomfort he says he is a new man...I am still deciding how accurate that statement is LOL
Chris and Lisa told us that this resort is very popular for witnesses to visit - obviously because the price is amazing!!

So we ran into some brothers from San Juan de Ocoa. Its a mountain town about 3 hours from Duverge. Chris and Lisa actually visited their congregation in substitute work. Their names are James and Lila. They are from Canada too...Brockville. We had a great time! This was the Italian restaurant which was great...but if you ever go don't drink the wine!!
 Some views of the Resort

Its called:
Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort

The view from the beach looking up to the V.I.P Beach....

A familiar sign...oh wait its spelt a little different...We all wondered where they came up with this idea to name the souvenir shop Wall*Mart....

This area has so many different things to look at, the ocean the beautiful mountains. Dominican has so much to offer and its only a small little island!
This was our second favorite spot.

This is located at the other resort that is connected to ours. its called Cofresi Resort
While you sit on the bed you look at the ocean and just behind you is a pool, a snack bar and a drink bar.

Even thought it was a little farther from our room you could literally be on this beach all day without leaving!

Our trip would not have been complete without meeting more brothers and sisters. These couples were from Pennsylvania. Their friend was getting married to a brother in Dominican and they came for the wedding.
We enjoyed meeting our brothers and its so encouraging to see how wonderful our worldwide brotherhood is. It also is important to read and take literature with you on vacation. We saved our beach beds with one of our publications and these brothers saw it and thats how we met!
We are so glad that we met our fellow workers!!
We spent a lot of time with James and Lila...they are a blast!!

Look at all those healthy tanned faces!!!
This was the Mexican Restaurant, which for us was number 1!!

On every Sunday the resort hosts a VIP dinner...its HUGE!!!

There was over 3000 people there! A buffet you can only imagine and live entertainment that was the best we ever saw at a resort. A man came out and played an Adele song on a saxophone...it was incredible!

The even was concluded by fireworks! And they do this every Sunday at the resort!

 Beach bum!!!
Our last dinner at the Resort....
After dinner it was time to pack and go to bed early. We wanted to leave for our home at 9am. So we got on the bus at 9am and arrived safely in Duverge at 7pm!!

Yes, it took us 10 hours to get home!! We have decided to get a car!! If only to drive us on our vacations!

We hope you all will visit us, and we can try to fit in a visit to this amazing resort!
