Our week so far....

It has been a busy week. We just got back from the Capital on Sunday and after cleaning and unpacking from that we began our invitation work Tuesday for the convention. We visited our studies and return visits because we only had Tuesday and Wednesday because we leave for Santiago on Friday (Santiago is the second largest city in the DR)

This horse was grazing and was tied to the fire hydrant you see behind him. We also took this picture cause we liked the house in the back ground. No body seems to live there for a long time, a sister said that they live in the United States.  Many people have vacation homes here cause this is where they were raised or where their family is now.

Can you see me and Yovanni (the sister I was working with) in the background....

The horse wasn't too impressed with Gralyn....he doesn't seem to be having any success charming the wildlife here!! LOL

Yovanni took us through this small path to get to these houses by a creek. Its crazy to think that people actually live through here!

It took about 10 minutes to arrive to the homes, it was an adventure!

When we arrived at the clearing where the houses are this is what we saw.....

Can you see the house leaning????

We are pretty sure that people live there, they are all one family that occupy both homes.

We had to be careful with our umbrellas....the electricity wire is just above our heads and the ends of our umbrellas happen to be metal!

We were laughing.....only in Duverge!!!

A nice few of a field with some cows. Its hard to see but the mountains are in the background.

The picture really doesn't do the area justice. Its a very nice spot in our town. The grass is green, the cows look healthy (it may seem crazy but healthy cows are something to get excited about!! LOL)

There I am delivering the invitations.....

Brock this picture is for you.........

How quickly do you think you could get the water hose attached to this hydrant??? hehehehehe

So instead of fixing the sidewalks like other countries....the Dominicans just pour more concrete down! So there is no more than an inch from the bottom of the hydrant.
Not that it really matters cause there likely isn't any water in the hydrant even if you could hook up a hose!

We couldn't stop laughing at the fact that its more of a tripping hazard then anything else....not sure why they didn't just remove it....

Well that has been what we have been up to so far this week.
The reason we are taking another trip this time to Santiago is because our friends Chris and Lisa are graduating from the Christian Couples School and we are heading there to see them get there diploma!!
We are so excited, its funny because we are in their home town while they are in school. Its really ironic!!

We really look forward to when they come back to Duverge, its been almost two months its gone by so fast!
While we are away we will be staying with some brothers who are friends of Chris and Lisa. We look forward to meeting them and seeing Santiago.
We will also get to see the second assembly hall because this is where the graduation will take place.

We will write soon, hope you are doing well.
